Who We Are
YouthLine is a free, confidential teen-to-teen crisis and help line that operates every day from 4-10 PM PST in both Portland and Central Oregon! Teens call, text, or chat us with anything that may be bothering them; including issues like family and relationship problems, substance abuse, eating disorders, depression, suicidal thoughts, and other tough issues. Staff and volunteers from the YouthLine also offers an outreach program across Oregon to destigmatize mental health challenges, increase awareness for mental health and wellness, and encourage youth to reach out for help. YouthLine is a service offered by Lines for Life.
What We Do
Lines for Life is a regional non-profit dedicated to preventing substance abuse and suicide. We offer help and hope to individuals and communities, and promote mental health for all. Our work addresses a spectrum of needs that include intervention, prevention, and advocacy. We educate, train, and advocate to prevent issues of substance abuse, mental illness, and thoughts of suicide from reaching crisis levels. But when a crisis arises or support is needed, we are available 24/7/365 to intervene with personalized help.
