Our mission is to create a junior road cycling team that is inclusive,
accessible to all socioeconomic statuses with the focus on developing a love of the sport of cycling that we hope will last a lifetime.
Provide Central Oregon youth elite level coaching from retired and current professional road racers.
For athletes interested in racing, help them choose appropriate races. Assist and coach them as select races
Teach how to safely ride in a pack, group and race tactics
Develop training and strength building plans depending on each rider’s individual goals.
For athletes who do not own a safe and reliable road bike, will have the opportunity to borrow a bike for the season.
Create better relationships between road riders and rural community members.
Instill the importance of giving back to the community by making sure that all riders volunteer at Horner Cycling Foundation fundraising events.
What We Do
The Horner Cycling Foundation creates opportunities to Central Oregon youth that are interested in the sport of road cycling. The HCF puts on numerous cycling races in the summer and fall to give youth local racing experiences.
The HCF has a weekly riding program for kids ages 8-12 in the summer.
The HCF accepts donations of gently used road bikes which they give out to kids/teens/young adults.
