Who We Are

Oregon State University's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program has been operating a site on its Corvallis campus since 2019. In 2025, we began serving the Bend area at the OSU Cascades campus. Our mission is to empower community volunteers to make a difference by assisting others through tax preparation. We are excited to bring this great service to Bend and Deschutes County.  More information on the volunteer experience can be found at: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/irs-tax-volunteers

What We Do

A VITA site offers free basic tax preparation services to qualified individuals, including people who generally make $65,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers. VITA volunteers receive extensive training and become IRS-certified.
