Mid Oregon Credit Union: Bite of Reality Financial Literacy

Established in 1957, Mid Oregon Credit Union is a full-service, member-owned financial cooperative and the only financial institution headquartered in Central Oregon. Our not-for-profit structure lets us focus on serving our members and community. We believe in the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.” We strive to be active in our communities through building financial resilience and our involvement in and support of meaningful community events. Mid Oregon and its staff members donate both financial and volunteer support to local organizations, giving back to our communities in a variety of meaningful ways.

Mid Oregon Credit Union partners with local schools, coordinates volunteers, and facilitates several Bite of Reality financial simulations across Central Oregon each year. These engaging workshops teach important financial literacy and budgeting basics to high school and college students.
