Who We Are

Our Mission Statement: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Our Operations: We serve in 133 countries around the globe, and in America we assist approximately 25 million annually. We have over 1.5 million members consisting of officers, soldiers, and adherents, and have been pursuing our mission since 1865.

What We Do

The Salvation Army is committed to meeting human need without discrimination, and extends its services to rural and geographically remote communities through the Service Extension program. Depending upon the needs of each community we serve, one-time or short-term emergency help may include food, shelter, utilities, medication, clothing, personal hygiene, medication, transportation and other assistance. Summer camp, school supplies, and Christmas assistance may also be offered to families with children.
