Volunteer: Help a person living with ALS in Redmond!

Living with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) makes daily tasks more challenging and to make life a little easier, we created the Helping Hands Volunteer Program. Right now, there is an opportunity to help a person living with ALS through this program in Redmond, OR. Can you help?

VOLUNTEER TASKS:
We are looking for a volunteer(s) in/or around Redmond, OR who is available on a regular & ongoing basis to support a Person living with ALS with household chores and laundry.

TRAINING:

You do not need to have prior knowledge or experience to volunteer in this role. When you enlist as an ALS Helping Hands volunteer, we will coordinate an orientation session and additional training with you before you begin your volunteer service. The orientation will cover what ALS is, information about ALS Northwest, what to expect, best volunteering practices, volunteer policies, as well as answering any questions you might have. The orientation is virtual (zoom) and runs about an hour and a half.

Regular assistance for 1-2 hours weekly, any day and any time between 9AM and 6PM.

TRAINING:
You do not need to have prior knowledge or experience to volunteer in this role. After onboarding, you will be thoroughly trained on volunteer policies and best practices through an orientation with our Volunteer Coordinator.
