COPY is offering a winter volunteer orientation/training for people interested in knowing more about becoming a mentor for a child with an incarcerated parent. This 3.5-hour class covers program policies, how to establish a mentor relationship, the impact incarceration has on families, and communication skills. There is no cost to attend, but advanced registration is required.
Every year, we choose to schedule this training on the weekend of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, to raise awareness of the meaning of helping these children.
