Join our community for a day of service honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. Monday, January 16 from 9am-12pm. Volunteers will spend the morning doing a variety of small projects, including cleaning, organizing and beautifying our school community garden grounds, as well as sanding and sealing our classroom risers. Our indoor activities will have a variety of art activities, including illustrating inspirational quotes, making peace flags, and hanging peace flags to beautify our garden and indoor learning spaces. Please note, children need to be accompanied by an adult. If you plan to be helping in the garden, please bring garden gloves.
"Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love." - Martin Luther King, Jr.
