We are looking for volunteers to help us with marketing and promoting our nonprofit farming and nutrition education organization. The Marketing Assistant’s role will be filled by someone who has experience with digital content creation and social marketing. This volunteer will be working closely with our executive team to promote and grow awareness of our organization and create materials for specific project promo needs.
We are looking for somebody who is capable, proactive and passionate about helping our cause of improving access to and affordability of healthy, locally grown produce. This is a particularly great opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable relevant work experience in the fields of design and marketing as you would be working under the guidance of a full service design agency. This volunteer position would be on-site at the design agency’s Bend office location for some or all of your contributed hours.
Regular Duties
- Coordinate with the Project Manager on specific project promo needs
- Coordinate with the Executive Branding & Marketing Director to validate tasks and projects, and receive project guidance & support
- Assists with managing the website (hosted on Squarespace)
- Create daily Social media content & posts (design tools provided)
- Attend local community and networking events with the Fundraising Project Assistant to increase awareness of what we’re doing and promote our cause
- Create monthly eNewsletters
- Create promotional project videos that will be posted to social media and Youtube
- Follow what’s trending in the world of urban agriculture, and highlight projects of interest that resonate with our Organization
