Opportunities From: Connect Central Oregon

We are in need of a handy person to do a few chores around our campuses. Projects might consist of hanging shelving/signage, fixing fences, trimming back a tree or shrub, or replacing a toilet handle, door lock, light bulbs, etc. We would like to have a long term, on call basis volunteer. The mission of Deschutes Children's Foundation is to promote a community of services for the children and families of Deschutes County. Our primary strategy for pursuing this mission is to provide rent-free facilities and no-cost property management for human service programs that serve children and families directly. This puts critical dollars to work for children and families. Close collaboration between programs selected for campus residency fosters efficient, effective, and accessible services.

Board and committee members contribute their time, talent, and resources to supporting the mission of Deschutes Children’s Foundation. Candidates with strong backgrounds in marketing, branding, storytelling, auction procurement, facility maintenance and management, or finance are encouraged. Committees meet monthly for approximately 90 minutes. Committee members represent and advocate for Deschutes Children’s Foundation in the community.
