Vice President Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Vice President/Co-Chapter President for SHP will be responsible for furthering the
mission of SHP by assisting the Chapter President(CP) in developing and leading a local
core team of volunteers to raise funds, build beds and deliver beds in their service area, as
well as serving as the CP in his/her absence.
POSITION SUMMARY
● The Vice President/Co-CP will assist the Chapter President in developing and leading
a local core team of volunteers to raise funds, build beds and deliver beds in their
service area by being a chapter spokesperson, assisting in bed builds and deliveries,
maintaining communication with team members and the community and have a
basic and working knowledge of all SHP processes and programs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
● The ability to develop and lead a team of diverse individuals that will work
collaboratively to end child bedlessness in their community

Warehouse Manager - Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Warehouse Manager for SHP will be responsible for furthering the mission of SHP through organizing and maintaining a safe work environment for engaging volunteers in the building of beds.

POSITION SUMMARY
Organizing warehouse space to be conducive to engaging volunteers in a safe manner in building beds
Collaborating with the Build Manager to ensure readiness for build days
Collaborating with the Delivery Team Lead to ensure readiness for delivery days

Bedding Team Lead - Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Bedding Team Lead for SHP will be responsible for furthering the mission of SHP through securing and organizing in-kind donations of bedding to be delivered with beds.

POSITION SUMMARY
Identify and equip bedding drop off locations
Maintain bedding inventory on the Chapter Portal
Maintain accurate counts of bedding donations so they can be entered into donorperfect
Work with Social Media Manager to communicate bedding needs to the community
Organize bedding drives at churches, businesses, schools, etc
Assist in packing bedding needed for Delivery teams

Social Media Manager- Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Social Media Manager for SHP will be responsible for furthering the mission of SHP through consistently posting the SHP story on social media, communicating the upcoming schedule for builds and deliveries and engaging more followers to help spread the SHP story.

POSITION SUMMARY
Posting consistently on social media - Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Capturing and posting pictures that tell the SHP story effectively
Communicating the need for volunteers, donors and applicants
Communicating the upcoming build and delivery events

POSITION SUMMARY
Works with the Chapter President to develop/identify new partnership opportunities with local businesses, civic/service organizations, churches and individuals
Works with the SHP Grants Team to identify and secure grants to support the local chapter
Create/send fundraising request letters on behalf of the chapter
Works to identify and secure other fundraising opportunities for the chapter

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Delivery Team Lead for SHP will be responsible for furthering the mission of SHP through successfully and compassionately delivering and assembling beds in homes of applicants.

POSITION SUMMARY
Communicate with Applications Team Lead about upcoming deliveries
Recruit and train volunteers to assist with deliveries
Prepare needed bed components and bedding required for upcoming deliveries
Prepare the delivery kit with required tools and supplies for deliveries
Interact with applicants and their families in a compassionate manner
Communicate with Applications Team Lead once deliveries are complete to ensure case is closed correctly

Applications Team Lead- Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Applications Team Lead for SHP will be responsible for furthering the mission of SHP through implementing a local plan for the vetting of applications, assisting in the delivery scheduling and delivery of beds to children in the chapter service area.

POSITION SUMMARY
Develop and implement a plan to vet applicants, and determine delivery priorities.
Develop and manage a team to assist in the vetting of applicants and case management
Assist in the recruitment and training of delivery team leads
Work to establish relationships with local advocates and agencies serving children in the chapter service area. (DFS, CPS, CASA, school counselors, refugee organizations)

Volunteer Coordinator- Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Volunteer Coordinator for SHP will be responsible for furthering the mission of SHP through recruiting new volunteers, communicating with volunteers, coordinating job assignments for volunteers and creating volunteer events within the Golden Volunteer system.

POSITION SUMMARY
Communicate regularly with Core Team members and regular volunteers
Recruit new volunteers and potential new Core Team members
Create volunteer events in Golden Volunteer System
Coordinate volunteers with volunteer tasks
Staff the check in table at build day events
Make sure volunteers all complete the indemnification form

Build Manager - Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Build Manager for SHP will be responsible for furthering the mission of SHP through successfully planning, organizing and implementing build days according to the philosophy and process set forth in the SHP Build Manual.

POSITION SUMMARY
Secure an acceptable build location for each bed build
Coordinate build day activities
Order and purchase necessary lumber and supplies for each bed build
Procure necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each bed build
Arrange transportation of tools and lumber to and from each build site
Organize the flow of the build train
Monitor and adjust the workflow to eliminate bottlenecks and to complete a safe build
Manage set up and tear down of the build train
Manage organization of storage units, tool inventory and tool repair/replacement
Plan and organize the moving of completed bed components to storage
Report Bed Built numbers to CP to update Chapter Portal Inventory

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Working knowledge of power tools and hand tools required to complete a bed build

Understand and support the philosophy behind the SHP build process
Ability to organize, mentor and lead volunteers to safely complete a bed build
