On Monday, Jan. 19, and the days surrounding, Connect Central Oregon invites you to:
- Engage with others to create community;
- Act on Dr. King’s legacy of social justice and equity;
- Recommit by volunteering to serve others.
The Martin Luther King, Jr., National Day of Service is a defining moment each year when Americans across the country step up to take action to create the Beloved Community of Dr. King’s dream. This is a day when we honor his legacy through volunteer action. During the last quarter-century, the MLK Day of Service has grown and its impact has increased, as more Americans embrace the idea that citizenship involves taking an active role in improving communities.
Come, let us join together as we engage with organizations throughout Central Oregon to celebrate and create community.
