Second Chance Bird Rescue, West Coast Div

Run by local volunteers, under the direction of Donna Costley, we are a small group of empathic individuals who want to provide assistance to struggling parrots. We receive many rewards for tending to the basic needs of these brilliant creatures. Parrots, like humans, have a long lifespan and must re-adjust when they lose their home and their companion. In time they may overcome this trauma, re-learn to trust humans, learn from each other, and rediscover joy and playfulness. They are then ready to meet their new adoptive parent (s).

We rescue and rehabilitate exotic birds. They come to us for many reason. Some we can’t rehabilitate, so they stay at the Sanctuary and live out their lives.

We provide rescue, rehabilitation, and/or a permanent residence for homeless, unwanted, and special needs parrots.
