Who We Are

Our Mission Our mission is to empower our Latino families to thrive, creating opportunities for advancement and building bridges that unite and strengthen us all.

Our Vision We envision a cohesive and diverse community where all people are valued and empowered to participate and contribute to the health and prosperity of Central Oregon.

Begun by Fr. Mike Walsh as a phone hotline in 1994, Latino Community Association has grown into an organization with a strong board of directors, paid professional staff of 10, and 175 volunteers serving over 2,300 clients from offices in Bend, Redmond and Madras, and hosting events serving all the community such as the Festival of Cultures.

What We Do

Latino Community Association (LCA) is an essential connecting point for our immigrant community. We help families find employment, file their taxes, work through legal issues, improve their English, achieve citizenship, and connect to new opportunities. We give our clients the time to be heard and understood.

  • Employment services (job list, resumes, English and computer training)
  • Children's dental clinics
  • Adult emergency dental clinicsLow-cost dental cleanings

  • Legal immigration consults
  • Assistance with immigration procedures
  • Citizenship assistance
  • Tax filing assistance
