A financial simulation for students.
As a volunteer, all materials are provided, and no special expertise is needed.
You will have a 15 min. orientation before students arrive and after the student orientation you will fill a sales-type role at one of the eight spending category tables such as transportation, kid care, housing, or entertainment.
The students will be assigned a career, income, debt, and family size through the app. They will make budget and purchasing decisions as they are required to visit all 8 tables. A credit union table will assist with financial coaching. Students will also learn about credit scores and unexpected expenses.
After the simulation period there will be a classroom debrief that we ask volunteers to participate in by sharing your observations.
A photo ID is required to check-in as a visitor at the school.
