Library Materials Shelving Support - Central Library in Bend

Do you love books? Are you interested in learning about the Deschutes Public Library collection and how books get processed? Are you looking forward to experiencing the new Central Library at Stevens Ranch? This may be the volunteer position for you!

The Library needs assistance moving materials from being checked out to back on the shelves. Additional to this role is shelf reading, verifying the order of books on our shelves, and maintaining organization within our collection.

You will learn about the book collection at the Deschutes Public Library as well as ensure customers have access to well organized materials.

Must be 12 or older to qualify for this volunteer position. Hours are flexible, Monday - Saturday. We request that you commit two regular hours per week for a minimum of 6 months for this role.

Volunteer positions will not officially start until the new library is open, which is set for late-Spring.
