The Ochoco National Forest and Crooked River National Grassland are looking for volunteers to help us with vegetation monitoring through the use of photo points. Photo point monitoring entails locating existing photo point monitoring plots by GPS points and/or mapping, retaking the photo point and completing a photo point monitoring form including attaching a photo. All equipment will be provided. Timing of most photo points is primarily June and July although they can be taken at other times in the late spring and summer. Volunteers would need to locate places on the Forest where photos have been taken before and follow protocol for taking new photographs. Volunteers would need to have access to a vehicle suitable for driving on Forest roads.
