About City Club of Central Oregon
City Club of Central Oregon exists to be the top-of-mind hub for citizens and community leaders. We intentionally shape our community and influence public policy while preserving our uniquely warm and connected culture. We champion “passionately non-partisan” discussion between diverse perspectives.
Our mission is to foster an informed community through dialogue and education that enhances responsible civic engagement. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
About the Role
This committee focuses on increasing City Club's memberships and sponsorships. We are looking for members that are willing to talk with potential members and sponsors about joining us.
Committee Responsibilities
- Call/email non-member attendees to our events to inquire about joining.
- Call/email lapsed and dropped members to request re-joining.
- Recommend potential sponsors and make introductions to City Club staff.
- Make recommendations to the Board of Directors promotional opportunities to attract new members and retain current membership
- Assist the Executive Director in the implementation of membership and promotional programs
- Ongoing data collection pertaining to member recruitment and retention
Committee Requirements
- Available to attend monthly meetings (currently held on the first Wednesday of each month, 11am-12pm on zoom with occasional in-person meetings)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Team player
- Have ideas for strategies and tactics that can be used in pursuit of the committee mission and responsibilities
- Willingness to interact with members on a regular basis
