About City Club of Central Oregon

City Club of Central Oregon exists to be the top-of-mind hub for citizens and community leaders. We intentionally shape our community and influence public policy while preserving our uniquely warm and connected culture. We champion “passionately non-partisan” discussion between diverse perspectives.

Our mission is to foster an informed community through dialogue and education that enhances responsible civic engagement.We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

About the Role

This committee focuses on City Club's brand identity, how we can increase community support and promoting our forums. We are looking for members that can help us build public relations campaigns, develop content and promote the organization.

Committee Responsibilities

  • Annual marketing plan recommendation to the Board of Directors that supports membership growth and optimum participation in forums and other programming.
  • Assist the Executive Director in public promotion that increased the knowledge of the presence of City Club in Central Oregon and its activities and make City Club the forum of choice for our region.
  • Write monthly recaps of our forums.
  • Help position City Club as an organization people donate to.
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities, including copywriting
  • Help distribute marketing materials

Committee Requirements

  • Available to attend monthly meetings (currently held on the fourth Monday of the month, 4-5:30pm in a hybrid format)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player
  • Have ideas for strategies and tactics that can be used in pursuit of the committee mission and responsibilities
  • Ability to listen to all sides of an issue
