Teens will gather together with Camp Fire on May 2nd from 2 - 4 pm to help 2nd Street Theater go through their costume closet! Fun!
This opportunity is part of our Teen Service Days, a FREE opportunity for youth, grades 6 and above, to strengthen their community, connect with others, and transform lives! At Camp Fire, we believe teens don’t need to wait for the future to shape the world… it begins NOW.
Teen Service Days are full or half day opportunities to participate in your community in a meaningful and rewarding way. Service Days will be offered at least once a month throughout the year. Projects will be organized by Camp Fire staff, with support from parents, volunteers and other local organizations. The type of projects will vary, so you can see our community with a wide lens. Projects will typically be on weekends or no school days, but could also be scheduled for afternoons or evenings.
A growing body of research indicates that youth who volunteer THRIVE - They do better in school, show decreased rates of depression, and are less likely to engage in destructive behaviors. Youth themselves say volunteering helps them make friends and instills in them a better sense of compassion, citizenship, patience and purpose.

Space is limited, so it is important to know as soon as new opportunities arise!
Adult Volunteers also needed! Please email info@campfireco.org if you would be interested in helping to coordinate and participate in these events so we can keep them free!
