Grateful Clips is a volunteer-led event that provides free professional haircuts to anyone in need.
How it works: You'll arrive at The Lighthouse Navigation Center (275 NE 2nd St) at the time of your volunteer shift, which is set to be 30 minutes before the actual event starts. This will allow you time to find Kara (the event lead), get the sign in table set up, and get acquainted with the process.
Responsibilities: As a check in volunteer, you will greet individuals who would like to get a haircut. You will do intake on a tablet, where you will record their name, stylist, and a COVID questionnaire. After they are in the system, you will pencil their name down by the next available stylist. When their time comes to get a haircut, you will call out their name and make sure they get acquainted with their stylist.
Skills required: A friendly demeanor!
