Volunteer with Bend ReStore as a cashier. ReStore supports our work expanding opportunity for homeownership in Bend and Redmond.
Volunteer Orientations - No appointment necessary - Only takes about 30-45 minutes - Tuesdays at 3:30pm
REQUIREMENTS:
- Provide “WOW” customer service
- Weekly commitment
- Must be friendly with good sense of humor
- At least two months of ReStore experience
- Ability to clearly explain ReStore policies and procedures
- Attend Volunteer Orientation
- Complete Criminal Background & Sex Offender Registry Check
TASKS
- Greet customers
- Ring up sales
- Operate credit card machine
- Help answer customer/donor questions
- Answer phone at register/take messages as needed
- Fill out necessary paperwork for sold items
HELPFUL SKILLS/ABILITIES (desired but not mandatory)
- Cashiering/retail experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to do light/moderate lifting as needed
- Ability to stay on feet for extended period of time
