On August 13, 2023 the Central Oregon community will gather at Drake Park for Balanced Bend Mental Health Festival hosted by Wild Heart Therapy + Consulting (WHTC). Balanced Bend is a free event dedicated to healing, connection, and education. Participants will sample services from a variety of local wellness providers, teachers, and organizations that contribute to a balanced lifestyle.
In its first year, Balanced Bend hosted more than 30 organizations and 300 participants. Attendees and volunteers enjoyed live music, wellness classes, free massage, and a family fun zone all in the spirit of celebrating mental health. This year, we hope to grow and feature even more of our local resources.
Our Mission
1. Create an experience that promotes mental health and wellness through a day of collective wellbeing.
2. Connect community members to resources for sustainable health and wellbeing.
3. Funds raised will go to the Wild Heart Therapy + Consulting scholarship fund, which makes therapy accessible by providing free and reduced-rate services and educational workshops.
We know there are many ways to improve mental health and that the best approach is one that is accessible and meaningful to the client. WHTC is committed to inclusivity and accessibility; quality wellness services should be available to EVERYONE and it is our aim to help bridge the gap between providers and the community members who need them most.
You are invited to volunteer at the Balanced Bend, Mental Health Festival on Sunday, August 13th. Please review and complete the questions on attached form. Please provide as much information so possible, as it will populate into a spreadsheet for easier reference later. Volunteers like you are the heart and soul of this festival.
