We are looking for volunteers to join our nonprofit farming and nutrition education organization. The Fundraising Assistant’s role will need to be filled by someone who has sufficient experience with fundraising. This volunteer will be working closely with our executive team to develop fundraising plans which could include inquiring for donations from local businesses, attending networking events, and assisting with grant applications.
We are looking for somebody who is a self-starter and motivated, and this opportunity would provide additional weekly support from our team as needed. This volunteer position includes personal use of optional desk space at our Marketing Director’s unique marketing and branding agency, allowing the fundraising assistant to gain experience in the field and work collaboratively with our team.
Regular Duties
- Develop fundraising plans and present ideas to the Executive Team for approval
- Assist with Corporate fundraising management, and maintain a weekly goal & task calendar
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to obtain budget information and for developing the funding scope
- Contact businesses to obtain donations via phone & email
- Attend local community and networking events to discuss what we’re doing and promote our cause
- Assist with completing Grant applications
