Connect Central Oregon (ConnectCO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals and organizations in Central Oregon by fostering a culture of volunteerism, mentorship, and innovation.
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our team and help us spread awareness about our mission and programs at local festivals throughout the year.
Ambassador Responsibilities
Festival ambassadors are the face of the organization at the event. They play a crucial role in spreading the word about the cause and leaving a lasting positive impression on the community.
Ambassadors:
- Answer questions about Connect Central Oregon's mission, programs, and impact, acting as a knowledgeable representative.
- Represent ConnectCO and our partners in a professional and positive manner.
- Build relationships by engaging with festival attendees in a friendly and approachable way, fostering connections and recruiting new supporters or volunteers for both ConnectCO and its partners.
- Promote upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
- Distribute brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials.
- Guide attendees through the various methods of engaging with ConnectCO and its programs, especially the opt-in and opt-out process.
- Answer questions about ConnectCO's work and its impact on the community.
- Set up and staff our booth at assigned festival.
- Help break down the booth at the end of the festival.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for ConnectCO's mission.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (flexible).
- Positive and outgoing personality.
- Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts.

Schedule
- Shift lengths will vary depending on the festival, but typically range from 3-5 hours.
