Description

We are very excited to have you join our team and help put on what will be the best beer (and more) festival to be held in Central Oregon: Bend Brews & Beyond!

As an Entrance/Ticket Taking Volunteer, you’ll be one of the first faces attendees see when they arrive at the festival!

Your primary responsibility will be scanning event tickets, exchanging them for wristbands, and helping ticketed guests get settled into the festival. You’ll also guide attendees to the merchandise booth where they can pick up their festival mugs and tasting tokens. Your friendly and organized demeanor will help create a positive first impression for festival-goers.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet attendees with a warm and welcoming attitude as they approach the entrance.
  • Scan event tickets and issue wristbands to ticketed attendees.
  • Ensure all wristbands are securely fastened and that each attendee receives the correct type of wristband.
  • Direct ticketed attendees to the merchandise booth to collect their festival mug and tasting tokens.
  • Answer general questions about the festival layout and activities, or direct guests to other volunteer areas for assistance.
  • Maintain a smooth flow of traffic and help keep the entrance area organized.

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable using ticket scanning devices or smartphones (training will be provided).
  • Friendly, patient, and professional when interacting with attendees.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage a steady flow of attendees.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Shift Details:

  • Volunteers will work at the second station guests visit after the security/ID check.
  • You’ll be stationed at the entrance throughout the event or for your assigned shift duration.
  • Ideal for volunteers who enjoy interacting with guests and helping them get oriented to the festival.

As a token of our immense appreciation for your time, every volunteer will receive the following:

    • Volunteer shirt
    • $18 food voucher
