Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon
needs YOU to help Defend the Potential of youth!
The youth in our region are in need of positive adult role models who are able to help them with homework, take them to community events and activities, and just hang out and be a friend.
A mentor assures young people that someone cares, will be there through challenges, and help them see the strength in themselves.
Mentoring has been shown to improve the futures of children through better grades, achievement of higher levels of education, and improved relationships. Essentially, young people with a mentor grow personally and have better social and economic opportunity than those who do not. Yet many kids in Central Oregon never have this opportunity.
This is why we need YOU. To be a mentor to the kids in need of quality mentoring in our community.
All that we ask is that you are able to provide 6-12 hours a month and commit to at least one year of service in one of our mentoring programs, which include:

One-on-one Community-Based,

Bigs in Blue,
-
Latino, and
-
LGBT+
You will be fully supported and trained by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon staff.
