PET cares for animals of wildfire evacuees. This is typically at one of the approved facilities such as Deschutes County Fairgrounds. While in our care, these animals are monitored 24 hours per day. This requires a number of volunteers, who usually work four-hour shifts. This could be for dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and other livestock.
PET requires a three-part training for our volunteers.
