Latino Community Association is an essential connecting point for Central Oregon’s immigrant community. We provide quality and culturally relevant services that address the highest priority needs and aspirations of our families.
With the help of incredible volunteers, we strive to add value to our communities by providing cultural events and activities that enrich Central Oregon. Latino Fest is one of the many cultural events we host annually.
Latino Fest is LCA's largest cultural event of the year where we celebrate and honor the Latino cultures that make up our diverse Central Oregon communities. Every year the festival is held in Madras, OR at Sahalee Park. There are live performances, including a band, cultural dancers, local performers, and so much more! There will also be food trucks, community partners, cultural booths, raffles, pinatas, and so many more activities for families with kids of all ages.
On the morning of Latino Fest, we need volunteers to help finish setting up the last-minute things:
- Stage decorations
- Chairs
- Tables
- Canopies
- Trash/recycling bins
There are two shifts you can sign up for,
7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
We also need volunteers to help with cleaning up after the event:
- Take down decorations and installations
- Clean-up stage
- Bring down canopies
- Put away chairs and tables
- Take out the trash and recycling bins
- Celebrate the end of a successful event!
There is one shift you can sign up for from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
