Vice President Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Vice President/Co-Chapter President for SHP will be responsible for furthering the
mission of SHP by assisting the Chapter President(CP) in developing and leading a local
core team of volunteers to raise funds, build beds and deliver beds in their service area, as
well as serving as the CP in his/her absence.
POSITION SUMMARY
● The Vice President/Co-CP will assist the Chapter President in developing and leading
a local core team of volunteers to raise funds, build beds and deliver beds in their
service area by being a chapter spokesperson, assisting in bed builds and deliveries,
maintaining communication with team members and the community and have a
basic and working knowledge of all SHP processes and programs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
● The ability to develop and lead a team of diverse individuals that will work
collaboratively to end child bedlessness in their community
● A passion for the SHP Mission that No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!
● Learn roles and responsibilities of the CP including budgeting, expense tracking,
In-Kind donation management, schedule management (builds and deliveries),
inventory management and team communication
● Help create and participate in a healthy chapter succession plan
● Have a basic and working understanding of all SHP tasks and software systems
necessary to lead a chapter
